Cheyenne county register of deeds Information

The Register of Deeds has custody of and safely keeps and preserves all records pertaining to land kept in the office of the Register of Deeds. The Register of Deeds shall also record or cause to be recorded all deeds, mortgages, maps, instruments and writings authorized by law to be recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds and shall perform all other duties as required by law. The Register of Deeds office does not do title searches.

2017 Fee Schedule

Year End Processing Announcement

The Register of Deeds office will close at 10:00 a.m. on December 30, 2016 per Cheyenne County Commissioners.  This will allow for all documents to be filed, processed and month/year end reports to be administered.  Please note that the 2017 filing fees and Mortgage Registration Tax will be changing and effective January 1, 2017.  Refer to K.S.A. 28-115 for new fees.
